Looks Like Spring!

jewel February 7th, 2009

Not to worry, I’m not fooled by this reprieve from the cold temps of February. It actually got up into the mid-60′s today! Very exciting, if you ask me.

Unfortunately, I didn’t really get to go out and enjoy the weather all that much, but I did spend a bit of time on the porch enjoying it. And we grilled a couple steaks for dinner — not something we get to do all that often in the winter.

Maybe tomorrow we’ll get out of the house and enjoy the day a bit. It’s suppose to be warm again. If only it would stay.

It made it to the mid fifties here in Colo. Tonight we are grilling asparagus, onions, portabella mushroom caps, green, yellow and red peppers to go over some pasta; perhaps a glass of Chianti or Beaujolais to prime the “buds.” Of course another glass, or two, will follow with dinner. For dessert . . . who knows. Maybe the bottle of Canyon Wind Proprietor’s Reserve Port Wine along with some white Belgium chocolate will fill the bill.

We’re actually thinking about going into the city for a couple hours today. You know, we’ve lived up here for almost 9 years and still not seen most of the monuments. Pathetic, I know. So, maybe we’ll go and take a picture or two. I’ve been itching to do that.

Isn’t that truly the epitome of life lived but unexperienced. For me I have lived through years comprising almost half a century, but have just begun to realize the freedoms self indulgence brings through the ingestion of their nectar. Your photography is good! I look forward to seeing more. Have fun!

We just got back from a gorgeous day in DC. I’m downloading my pics now. Once I process them and upload them, perhaps I will write up a post about our day. :-)
