There is some program or driver that has been making me most frustrated, causing random lockups and whatnot. Reinstalled Windows 7 last night (yeah, I know...Windows...) as a last ditch effort and am going to stagger the reinstalling of things I use to try and pin it down because it's a problem that has been plaguing me for about 6 weeks now, through reinstalling and upgrading, though I previously just reinstalled all my programs at once so was unable to pin it down. The only thing I am pretty certain of is that it isn't a hardware issue. So, I've been offline for a couple days, which drives me a little nuts. lol. Been pretty stable since the last reinstall, though, so if that holds true for another day, I'll reinstall one of the other programs I use and then wait a day or two... computers can be such a pain in the ass. Oh, and I've often wondered about the supposed energy savings of DST. Indiana, IIRC, just started observing DST a couple years ago. According to footnote #49 <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time" rel="nofollow">on the DST wiki page</a>, DST has caused an increase in energy costs overall by 1% - 4%. Shughart II (McClatchy-Tribune News Service) in my paper today: "Killing Time - Daylight-saving saves no energy and may have fatal consequences." A search will turn it up in several places.
