Back from vacation

We just got back last night from a week in the UK. I’m resting up and collecting my thoughts and going through pictures. I’ll write more about my trip soon. We had a fantastic time, and even though I wasn’t quite ready to come home yet, now that I am home, it is good to be here.
It sounds like a wonderful trip and a great way to celebrate your birthday. Thanks for taking the time to write it up. It’s always nice when the weather cooperates so well. I camped in Acadia in Maine long ago, just after Labor Day, and the entire week was sunny and warm. There was just one brief thunderstorm early one morning just before dawn.

It doesn’t often happen when I am on holiday that I don’t feel ready to come home. I probably should have broken up the post into 2 or 3 parts, but I didn’t realize just how long it was until after the fact. It didn’t take me long to type once I got started.
I just started working on getting the pictures labeled a day or 2 ago. That will take me awhile, I think. Especially with the British Museum pics. And I’ll probably weed out some as well.
